24 July, 2009: “Indian school for rogue monkeys”
The proposed new monkey school will take in the “worst offenders” and put them through a crash course in good manners.
Wildlife officials hope to reduce aggression and train the monkeys to be more like the wild animals they originally were.
Two questions arise after reading this article:
- Aren’t there some children in Punjab that could benefit from schools, instead of focusing resources on educating monkeys? Last I checked the state’s average literacy rate was below 70%.
- How exactly, do you go about training monkeys to be “more like the wild animals they once were?”
How about: 3. For real? A school for monkeys? Do they teach them to wear bow ties and eat with forks, because that’s funny. Also, this whole thing sounds like something made up for a Seann William Scott movie.

I would pay real money to see a school teaching monkeys to wear bow ties and eat with forks. Also something about hats.
